Can anybody tell me in the simplest way possible (I'm technologically retarded) how to make my Mac mini connect to Internet wirelessly without adding an airport extreme card?

Other than a wireless airport card, probably the best and only way is a USB wireless dongle. You can find them being sold in various places but make sure it's for a Mac and it supports the version of OS X you're running.
