you can get a 1tb Revodrive for £875, i believe OCZ also do a 1TB SATA SSD for about a grand.

It won't be long now... I'll bet by the end of 2012, we'll see SSDs get down to the $1/GB sweet spot. And once they do, with the shortages in hard drives resulting from the flooding in Thailand, it will drive mainstream adoption and make the price go down even further.

I'm SO ready for mechanical hard drives to become less relevant, they are by far the biggest bottleneck in modern PCs.

I'd rather have multiple ssds than one that large. 4x512 sounds more than reasonable to me. Plus, you can raid:D
