I just switched over to mac for my podcast and starting using garageband '11. I have it set up with Line-In and Soundflower so that the talent in the studio is recorded separately from any one who calls in via skype. I know how to add loops to the beginning and end for theme music, but I would really like to add loops during live recording, as we don't schedule when certain segments take place.
I tried to drag/drop a loop during live recording and it would not record the loop into the track... how do I add a loop to a recording while it is being recorded live? We also stream the show live on uStream, so I'd rather not stop recording and then add the loop to get it to be a part of the show.
