How to install Linux (especially Ubuntu) into Mac without any external EFI extensions natively without any virtual machines? Thank you!

Wow... so that's how you do it...

1. Use Disk Utility to partition your Mac in two partitions. Format 2nd partition as UFS or HFS+ (Journalled)

2. Boot off an ubuntu disk.

3. Reformat your new empty partition to EXT2 or EXT3 format.

4. Install Ubunto onto the new partition.

Press ALT key to select which partition to boot off: MAc OS or Unbuntu.

How do you use Disk Utility to partition your drive? I tried using a bootcamp created partition, had to redo windows over the ubuntu because of a GRUB error and after I came back into OSX to remove that partition I was left with a mounted EFI partition. I don't know what to do with it, but now I can't do anything with Bootcamp because I get this error:

Any help would be great! If I can get this all fixed, and figure out how to partition with disk utility, I'll be dual booting Ubuntu myself. Thanks all!
