Backtrack 5 on 2011 MBP

Hello all!

Im a digital forensics student and I'm having a few issues finding a reliable way to run Backtrack 5 on my Macbook Pro.
Virtual Box was a massive disappointment as it kept crashing whenever I went to shut it down, the resolution wasn't idea (although there are long and laborious apparent fixes that sometimes work).
Has anyone done this in something more reliable such as VMWare or even Parallels?
Any advice would be appreciated
