Logic Pro 8, Software Instrument crashes

Hi all,
I recently installed a driver for a Korg Nanokey midi controller. Ever since this, whenever i create a new software instrument track and select an instrument Logic crashes and i have to force quit.

iv opened a new project and it works fine, will not work on existing project

im using Snow leopard, Mac Book Pro early 2011.

please help any suggestions welcome.

Is your Kontrol Editor software installed? From there, you can set up parameter controls and MIDI in/out in the "Preferences" dialog box.

sorry i forgot to mention that logic crashes even if the Nanokey is not connected.
i create a software instrument track and i select the sound i want and logic just crashes.
