Ever since I have bought the 4s and upgraded to 10.5, the sound quality of only SOME of my songs has gone down the drain. it sounds decent through ear buds but when when playing it through my car stereo the quality seems really bad. i played with the itunes settings and the quality has gotten a little better but some songs are still distorting in my car that never did before with any other sort of ipod. what could it be? thanks, Keith

I'm not familiar with iTunes but check the syncing options, I know with my mp3 player I have the option to compress songs down when sending to my player to conserve space. It may be doing the same but like I said I'm not familiar with iTunes.

Also check the volume control on the iPhone when connected to your car - whether Bluetooth or an Aux jack - make sure it's not turned up all the way, this could be causing some distortion - should use no more than 50-75% volume on the phone and then control with your car's audio from there.

If you're connecting via a USB port, it should be acting as a line out and this shouldn't be your problem.

I believe settings are at 256 Kbps, 44.1khz

Connecting via the USB port.
All songs are downloaded from the Internet if that matters.
