netflix / silverlight issues

after upgrading to lion, i tried to watch netflix. But in the gallery section, where you select the movies you want, i get nothing but black boxes. It plays the videos, but the little gallery preview doesn't work. any one know what i can do?

i installed the newest version of silverlight and still nothing.

point me in the right direction.

Using which browser? Have you tried another browser?

There is no issue here at all. That particular page does not use Silverlight.

Try disabling &/or removing all plugins and extensions you have installed.

im on both safari and chrome. ill try the pop up blocker, thanks

Like bobtomay has alluded to, I get the feeling that this is being caused by an extension. What extensions do you have installed for each browser?

none, its a fresh install. i installed flash and thats about it lol.

lol, this is what i see when i log into my netflix. thats with pop-up blocker off.

Just duplicated your issue here.

Safari - Preferences - Appearance - put a check in 'Display images when the page opens'.

I find it odd that this is happening across browsers. Have you reset each respective browser? Let's try one at a time here: Chrome > Clear Browsing Data...

Well, what can we eliminate...

Java, Javascript (disabled both, and still have images when browsing my queue). Same thing with Flash and Silverlight. I'd go with a cookie or cache corruption issue.

idk whats going on, i got firefox, and it does the same thing. some images appear, but most of them dont. its only on this website. i should just cancel my subscription lol

Hrm, I wonder.... have you tried using Googles public DNS server?

I wonder if that could be... take for instance..


if you cut/paste the URL for the img src above, do you see the image?

got it, deleted the browsers. deleted the cookies, and installed firefox again, got it working, thanks guys
