• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum, so I hope I get a response! Anyhow, I'm trying to edit a video for my gf's parents wedding. They want to make a video, where the beginning kind of looks like the brady bunch, with 9 squares of simultaneous video boxes I guess. Which program can I use to do this? And when I purchase it, is it pretty simple to go forward with it??;D Thanks a lot for your responses in advance!

You need a multi-track NLE

You need a video editing program like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or any program that supports multiple video tracks (layers). Google: "Picture in Picture Effect" for techniques on making the nine boxes. The nine pictures are really the picture in picture effect done up 9 times.

Good luck.
