Hi, I am running an iMac i7 with Windows 7 64bit (boot camp).

In Windows the headphone port/socket does not work! However they did work before prior to re-install of Win 7. So its not a hardware failure.

My boot camp in Windows is updated to ver 4.0.

Sound panel in Windows shows 3 devices:

Realtek HDMI Output

Speakers - Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 24)

Digital Audio (S/PDIF) Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 24)

Speakers are the default, thus iMac inbuilt speakers that are working.

Appear to be no system change /reaction when i insert headphone jack nor a device icon/listing!!

Device drivers are the latest.

Is there something missing in reference to headphones?

Whats the best route of action? Re-install bootcamp software, unistalll all sound drivers in Windows and re-install. :|

No need to re-do Boot Camp as that would mean much work and likely unnecessary. It seems as though Windows 7 is not detecting the insertion of the headphone male jack and instead keeps the speakers on. Try reinstalling the sound devices and drivers first. If that doesn't work, look for updated sound drivers from the sound device manufacturer's web site.
