I currently don't have any system audio on Windows 7, although audio works fine on the Mac side of the computer. The troubleshooter was not able to help, except that it did make reference to a generic sounding "Intel high definition audio driver." I have not been able to find this driver on the Intel web page or elsewhere online.

I haven't configured Bootcamp or VMware Fusion 3 just yet, so I'm strictly referring to system audio on Windows 7 when I boot into this OS as located on a second physical hark disk.

Thanks for any tips on how to enable system audio on Windows 7 as located on a separate hard disk on the Mac Pro desktop computer.

Which version of OS X are you running? If Leopard or Snow Leopard, just insert your install DVD while Windows 7 is running and drivers should get installed automatically.

Which version of Windows are you running? And what year model Mac do you have?

Boot into Windows 7 and use your Snow Leopard DVD to install drivers. Just insert the Snow Leopard DVD after Windows 7 starts and drivers will install automatically. After that, open the Boot Camp item from the Windows 7 Control Panel and run the Apple software update. That should download the latest version of Boot Camp and update drivers, if any.

I know the above works because I also have a 2008 MacBook that I installed Windows 7 on and used my Snow Leopard DVD to install drivers.

I can't seem to find my Snow Leopard install disc. Is there another way? I do have my Tiger install disc.
