I just purchased a MacBook Pro 13 in, 2.3 ghz and hoping to connect to larger display monitor

I'm thinking of trying to get rid of my PC.
The 2 main PC programs are 1. Quicken Home/Business and 2. Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO).

It would be more convenient to use Parallels or VMWare (than Bootcamp).

1. Is one better than the other (Pareallels vs VMWare) for playing the game?
2. Should I be able to play the DDO game without too much slowing down using Parallels or VMWare?

Thanks

Games for the most part run much better when run from native Windows rather than a virtual machine. That means using Boot Camp and setting up a dual boot. VM software is still not up to par for 3D rendering and graphics acceleration.

As for the Home/Business edition of Quicken, don't even think about buying the Mac version. It's several years behind the Windows version and as any good reviewer will tell you, it's terrible. Quicken will run just fine in a VM and of course native Windows.

Note though: Your new MBP will only run Windows 7, not XP nor Vista.
