Wired Printserver

I have a Linksys wired print server hooked up to my USB printer. I have a PC and a MAC connected to the network. The problem is that my PC is able to print, but not my MAC. The MAC has all the drivers loaded and will print when there is a direct link to the printer, but not via the server. It does detect the server, but has it listed as a printer. Do I need open a port through the server and have the printer connect through that port? I'm at a loss and don't have much experience with MACs.

What is the printers IP,...

The windows machine must print to an ip,...correct? Or is there some sort of netbios thing going on?

The mac is the same way,...it needs to print via ip.
