Yes :)

The .sea and .smi 's should just work - they stand fof self-extracting-archive and self-mounting-image ; sea's use StuffIt technology but I don't ever remember needing StuffIt for either.

.bin is BinHex format, the Info Mac hyperarchive http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/HyperArchive.html will help you there.

.part is to do with .smi's - they are the bits that make up the CD image, they are split down to fit on a high density floppy disk.

What you ideally need is the network boot disk, and for all the info you need on that you need to read an earlier post of mine:

Please note I removed netboot.img from my website. You will need some way of transferring that image to floppy disk, the easiest way to my knowledge is with a PC (sorry!) with a floppy drive and using HFS Explorer.

I can confirm this route worked as I booted my IIfx with the disk the PC wrote via HFS Explorer.

This will boot into a very stripped down System 7.5; from here you can format the hard disk, and copy your system 7.5.3 parts via floppy disk to the system. Bare in mind you will probably have limited space on a standard 170 hard disk (40Mb i think), and the System 7.5.3 files will need 20MB hold the files.

System 7.5.3 is very nice but doesn't offer masses of changes over 7.0.1 TBH, unless uyou have any software that needs System 7.1/7.5 - I'd stick to 7.0.1.

Hope this helps, I still use 'classic' Macintoshes daily including the 68K IIfx which runs System 7.5.3 and a Power Macintosh 7200/90 on OS 8.6 so I won't give you the get a new Macintosh speech :flower: They have their merits, but I'm sentimental as the IIsi I had is where it all started, running System 6.0.3 IIRC!
