First I'll say hello since this is my first post here.

I'm looking to get an external battery but seeing as how that is a $200 investment with Hyperjack I thought I would look around here for any ideas or help or really whatever.

I have a late 2008 macbook aluminum. So yeah I'll take some help or advice.

Oh I should also say that I do a lot of out door tabling on the campus I work on so I need something to keep me up and running for more than an hour and forty-five minutes.

Here's an idea for an external battery:

Auto Battery (or any decent capacity 12 volt battery) + Power Inverter = External Battery.

Just plug your laptops power "brick" into the power inverter...and you're good to go!:)
