Issue connecting Midi Keyboard to macbook pro

I am trying to connect my keyboard (YAMAHA DGX-630) to my mac book pro. I have successfully installed all the drivers necessary and connected it to my computer via usb 2.0 connection. When I check the midi device list in the Audio Midi Setup application, it doesn't show up. I am really frustrated with this and if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

MacBookPro 11,2 <--DAW!!!
I didn't think the DGX-630 was necessarily a MIDI keyboard but just a digital piano.
Are you using the "USB to Host" connection to your Mac?
