Hello,
I've written a front end for mplayer on OSX and it works like a champ except for one instance: after a DVD drive has hibernated. My player plays the mountpoint (/Volumes/DVD_Name) and after a Mac has hibernated, this fails. It can be "woken up" if I use the Apple DVD player, or if I try to play the device directly (/dev/disk). (In my program I do not play the device directly, because the performance is poor, compared to playing the mountpoint.)
Is there a way I can wake up the drive mountpoint in my code (or by the command line or something)? I need a way to have my player wake up the drive instead of having the user wake up the drive by running another program.
Thanks,
ReiCow
