It's an HP Deskject 6988 connected to a G5 iMac.
The basic connection is fine. I am not having general connection issues.
But EVERY TIME that I change the ink, the printer stops working until I physically unplug the power cable on its' back side. Unplugging and replugging the USB from the iMac does not help. Powering the printer on/off at the front panel does not help. Meanwhile, the printer is still selected in Preferences and all seem well except for "...cannot open printer connection..."
Why is this? It's not the end of the world, but it's sure aggravating and very inconvenient to get to the back as well.
