This question has probably been asked since time immemorial, but what HDMI cables does everyone use? I know stuff like Monster (and almost everything else Best Buy and other retailers attempt to peddle) is insanely overpriced, but I think quality--to an extent, of course--must make some kind of difference? To this end, I stumbled across ECore. They offer different lines of cables (varying in length and component quality) for different usage scenarios--a definite plus, one would think, over one-size-fits-all cables like AmazonBasics or Monoprice.

Before I take the plunge and buy one for my MacBook Pro (using a miniDP-HDMI adapter), I'd be interested to hear what you guys think/recommend. Thanks much!

I use Amazon Basics. They do the job and are a good value.

Thanks for the advice everyone. osxx, what's your cut-off point, length-wise (if you will) for Blue Jeans cables versus Monoprice cables?

I'd probably consider their cables at 50' or longer. But, there is more to consider than just cable length. You should read the link osxx provided.

Over 6m we use the BJ if its HD 3D and for HD as Bob pointed out we have had to use the directional 50 footers with built in amps do to the fact not every mfg is on the same page with specs and can cause handshake issues. Those have got me in trouble once the heads are slightly bigger and have a tiny led in the head with the amp was lit but not working we quickly invested in an HDMI cable tester.
