I'm eager to download Lion. Meanwhile, I was wondering: sooner or later Apple will run short of felines... That's my proposal.;P

Hmmm...sounds like a decidedly negative slant. Please tell me...how do you honestly feel about Mac OS X and Macintosh computers?

Agreed with Nick.

Since this tread probably will end up in a bad light, the next OSX version will be....

OSX iCloud! All in the cloud! :D

OS X Wild Cat. It's like the domestic housecat, but it's wild, and found in Africa and other places.

I seriously think something like sphinx, or lynx, or maybe ocelot. Honestly i don't care what they call it. As long as the quality of apple is in it.

You guys took the banner way too seriously. It's pretty clear he was poking fun at domestic cats, not OS X. I smiled. Of course, I'm not exactly a cat person, so maybe there was some bias involved.

Obviously it was not clear which you were poking fun at (OSX or Cats). Your assumption of that was dead wrong.

When a brand new user comes and posts something like that, we do have the right to ask. We get many Trolls here, trust me. also the OP has not posted back since.

I don't think he was calling the OS lazy, I think he was referring to the cat. I found it funny myself... :)

It only jealously folks, that makes people go out of there way to post derogitive things to make themselves feel better. So feel at peace in the knowledge they are really wanting.

Being that to the cat or the OS im not sure lol

After Lion, the next major Mac OS will be code named: Bill The Cat

100% my thoughts exactly!

A brand new member with 1 post doesn't waste their time signing up for a Mac-Forums membership just to post a message making fun of cats. MUCH MUCH more likely they're a "Mac-Hater", a "Mac-OS X Hater"...or both.

There are certainly MUCH better places to make fun of cats...like a dog oriented forum!;)

Well, I guess I'll be the pedantic librarian on this thread:

For the record (or just as a point of interest), here are the names of big cats Apple has used so far:

Kodiak (the public beta -- not a cat at all! Hey, what th--??)
Cheetah (10.0)
Puma (10.1)
Jaguar (10.2)
Panther (10.3)
Tiger (10.4)
Leopard (10.5)
Snow Leopard (10.6)
Lion (10.7)

If they wanted to stick to "big cat" names, they still have Ocelot, Lynx and Cougar they could use. Ocelots and Lynxes are not technically big cats, but in the public's mind they are. Cougars are also called pumas, so technically Apple has already used that up. :)

I don't think naming an operating system "cougar" would make for a clever marketing move... :p

Way... way too many specs to list.

Cougars are small cats, not great cats. They'd be out I'd imagine.
