We're building a website using iWeb to sell patterns that are in a pdf format. PayPal will be used for payment processing, but what we're trying to find is a solution that will work so that the purchasers will immediately and automatically get the download, without us having to be at the computer 24/7. Any ideas? Please and thanks.

Patterns on a PDF format - you will have to get the images in a different format or edit them in software like photoshop.

This doesn't quite make sense, are you giving the user an option to view/download a PDF?

As mentioned above, I would suggest taking a look at RapidWeaver and an addon called Rapidlink, which will allow you to easily share digital downloads. I think it would fit your needs nicely.

You can find info on RapidWeaver at Realmac Software - Creative Software for Macs RapidLink should be listed in the addons section of their site.

benalla is right, you should use a more standard format such as .eps .psd or even .png

.pdf is definitely not the format to use as it will be hard to take the pattern form it

Thanks all. Mr. Mac, the patterns are for quilts and there is no one is having a problem in that regard. We have solved the problem with the downloads facilitated by a third party. However, we've looked into Rapidweaver and like what we see. Again thanks
