I am looking for recommendations for an external drive for my iMac that would be 100% devoted to storing my 400 DVD's and then stream them to my TV via an Apple TV. I'd be ripping DVD's using Handbrake to this drive. All the DVD's are not HD. This drive would not be used for time machine. However, it would be ideal to have RAID or other mirroring/redundancy. I'm aware of the WD My Book II with 6TB (2 x 3TB), but have seen a lot of bad reviews on it and seems less than ideal for my needs. Any suggestions?

Have been looking at the DNS-323 myself - Fry's carries it for $140 - this is the cheapest price I've seen for it.

I got mine through Amazon (think I paid about $150 for it) and added 2 ea WD 1 TB drives. So far it works great. The only thing I have to do is every few days or so it will drop out of Finder, but if I ping it using iNet Pro App from my iPhone or iPad it wakes back up or resets or whatever and Finder sees it again.
Not sure why this happens but it is the only negative I have encountered.

Thanks for the replies! I'm looking at the DNS-323 and also the Synology DS411J ($360 at Amazon) that holds 4 drives and supports RAID 5.
