Hey all,
So I've got an MBP hooked up to a 1TB external via USB, and basically want to move the external to a network setup for convenience sake. Here's the situation:
I'm a college student, so I have limited control over the network situation. In the past, I have hosted the external from another mac, broadcasting its own network, thereby bypassing the network issue. I would like to be able to do this again, but so far in my experience, to switch between network and USB connection, or vice versa, requires completely resetting the Time Machine setup, which I would rather not do, because I would lose nearly a year of backups. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
