i'm trying to learn more about macs. at the moment i have a friend with an imac with os 8.6. she does not have the cds that came with it. is there any way to get these cds. downloadable even?
she would like to completely re-install. what are the options/limitations.

she wants to reinstall os 8.6? why?

the best thing to do is buy os9 or something similar.. or Linux is another option.

Or even osx would work on it.
