I am designing a website on Squarespace and am wanting to have six thumbnails of video (not animation) embedded into the webpage.
I don't want to use Flash as it is not compatible with ipad, iphone etc. and using gif files seems to compromise quality extensively. Nor do I want to have any kind of media player as the videos are part of the aesthetic, designed to act eventually as hyperlinks to a media player playing the full videos fullscreen.
The videos should loop continuously and can be of 4-10 second duration. Here is a reference for a website doing what I wish to achieve, but they've done it with Flash (just so you have a visual reference so you know what I'm trying to achieve): Chris Cunningham
