I am writing in caps due to frustration over not being able to decide on a monitor to hook up to an old 2007 santa rosa macbook pro which still runs great. I looked into a cinema display but 1000.00 for the 27 "is far to expensive. Id rather throw in the extra dough and get the new imac.

I've googled this same question, and have received varying responses with no conclusive answer. My question is simple:what is the absolute best display for 500 or less?

Don't think harry's links from Australian stores will do you much good here in the U.S.

Why not try google, Amazon, newegg?
