Thanks in advance for any responses. I just purchased an Airport Extreme and am considering getting rid of my phone company (ATT) bills by buying an Ooma Telo VoiP.

The Telo requires plugging into an ethernet port on my modem, however there is only one port on my modem. I was thinking I could plug the Telo into my Airport since it has multiple ports. Ooma said this might affect voice quality which is something I don't want. I could purchase a new modem with multiple ports but, hey, I'm trying to save some dough here.

I also considered the possibility of placing a splitter into the modem ethernet port, but I don't know if that's possible or even reasonable.

Anybody have any ideas or particular knowledge to throw my way regarding this little dilemma?

I'm sure it'll be fine connected to the Airport. All VoIP providers say to connect it directly to the modem but it almost never matters.
