Ok, I only have a 60gb HDD on my Mac, followed by a 250gb HDD on USB, for a backup.
I recently added my entire music collection to iTunes, ~5000+ songs, ~15gb or so in size. Well it copied it all over to the HDD on the Mac, is there a way for iTunes to read directly from the backup drive? Without moving all the files on over to the main drive? Its not that big of a deal, but I dont want to run out of space any time soon on my main drive.

Yes, I believe so. Go to the Advanced tab under preferences and tell iTunes where your library is. The default location is specified, but you can change it to your backup drive.

My 3000+ Take up like 18 or 19 Gigs, but I have them in high quality formats because I like my music clear. And nice sounding.

98% of them are encoded at 128bit rate. At the time it was the best option, because I didnt have a large HDD to hold them all.
