Thanks for starting this thread! I was going to...but I ended up going out to dinner...and also went to my local Apple Store to get a partially malfunctioning Apple aluminum keyboard looked at...which they replaced with a new one...yeahhh APPLE!!!

Computer Specs:

- "Early 2009" Mac Pro
- 2 x 2.26ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
- 6 gig ram
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 video card

My "OpenGL" score really is poor! The stock NVIDIA GT 120 really is a "stinker" video card to be in a Mac Pro computer. Definitely an upgrade I will look forward to completing (when I can "scratch" the cash together)!.

Some "FYI's" for Cinebench 11.5:

1. It appears that in the Cinebench 11.5 download folder, there's a 32-bit & a 64-bit ".exe file". I'm assuming that for non-64 bit computer models the 32-bit version will run automatically. For the life of me I can't find (or if it's even an available option)...a way to switch between the 32-bit & 64-bit (if you wanted to test both). Maybe the faster/appropriate version automatically loads when the app. is launched.

2. Under the "File" menu (within the Cinebench window, not the normal Mac OS drop down menu location) is an option for "Advanced Benchmark"...which gives you a little more info...such as:

- % Match against the reference system for your computer model.
- Single core score
- MP Ratio (the speed-up factor due to multi-processors)

3. Here's the "unoffical" Cinebench scores database:

The chart is really not very "scannable" by Macintosh computer model (the list includes a lot of computers running Windows 7)...which makes this Cinebench benchmarking thread that much more useful & easy...for us to compare Macintosh models & results & different video card setups.

4. For folks thinking of running Cinebench 11.5 on older model Mac's (PowerPC G4 & G5 computers)...Cinebench 11.5 does not support these processors. You need to have:

- an Intel cpu
- at least 1 gig of ram
- minimum OS 10.5.8.

I think that Cinebench version 10 could be run on older PowerPC Mac's...but I didn't think that version 10 & version 11.5 scores are comparable.

I would suggest folks include their computer specs...since the Cinebench 11.5 results output doesn't include this info (will make it easier for folks to compare computer models or create a summary chart of scores).

I would also add that...on slower computers the Cinebench 11.5 test WILL be PAINFULLY slow. But this does demonstrate the power & complexity of the test. For reference...it took my 8-core Mac Pro (16 virtual cores)...about 40 seconds to run the Cinebench 11.5 cpu test.

Here are Cinebench 11.5 results for my:

- 2007 MacBook Pro
- 2.33ghz Core 2 Duo cpu
- 2 gig ram
- Radeon X-1600 graphics

FYI...as you can see...there's no Open GL (graphics score) for my MacBook Pro. Apparently Cinebench 11.5 does not support this graphics chipset.

As I mentioned previously...even though this MacBook Pro is wayyyy slower than my 8-core Mac Pro...it gets used MUCH MUCH more! So definitely still a reasonably speedy 4 year-old computer for:

- internet surfing
- e-mail
- basic gaming
- MS Office
- some Photoshop
- internet video chatting
- You Tube
- etc.

FYI...it took my 8-core (16 virtual cores) Mac Pro about 40 seconds to run the Cinebench 11.5 cpu test. It took my 2.33ghz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 5:16 (5 minutes, 16 seconds) to run the same Cinebench 11.5 cpu test.

Hmm

You know, I was browsing through the CPU rankings at the bottom and noticed that the Windows 7 64-bit rankings were below that of a Windows XP machine with a lower GHz.

And mine was the lowest of all the rankings. Hahaha!!!!

Mid 2010 iMac...

Here is mine.

It doesn't seem to want to work on mine, just sits doing nothing, even though it says it's working. A bit odd. Had to force it to quit too.

ARe you running the 32 Bit version? Did you keep all the files intact that came in the zip? Otherwise it will not work.

Yes, pretty sure it's the 32. I will check again, and yes, didn't move any files.

This does seem strange. Do you have all other apps's closed when trying to run? Did you try rebooting...then trying to run Cinebench?

Re-downloaded it and it worked. Did run software update inbetween times mind you, weird! Thing is it used the 64 bit version looking at the result - go figure!

Congrats on getting it working. I've always found Cinebench to be a long tedious download...glad you gave it a 2nd try!

Hey "Tattooed"...interesting scores. Although the CPU score isn't extremely high...relatively speaking...that "Open GL" (graphics score) is pretty darn good! The 320M graphics hardware seems pretty impressive!

I think that "robduckyworth" posted similar scores. I'm comparing this to my 2009 Mac Pro with the really "stinky" GT 120 video card that scored an Open GL value of around 15 (I definitely need to get a better video card)!

2.16Ghz C2D Mac Mini (Modded 1.66Ghz 1st gen Mini) with C2D CPU. Only CPU test as GMA950 does not support test.

I didn't test the Mac Mini or the PowerMac...I don't think I want to either. I might test my Win7 PC...though you won't see the results here LOL.
