Battery Trouble

SO it seems like, as of late, all of my apple devices are failing me immensely. Recently I had to fix an issue with my Macbook of little importance. Now, my iPhone is messing up.

The problem is that when I plug my phone up to my charger, it doesn't charge. The phone registers that it is indeed hooked to the charger and everything but the battery life remains at 10%.

Anyone have any suggestions or insight into this issue. Am I missing a solution to my problem or am I just screwed

Have you tried a different charger and different USB/Dock cable?

The same thing happens to my friends ipad, except it willnot connect to the computer either. try turning off the iphone and charging it, that is what my friend has to do.
