The nano looks pretty nice. Depending on the storage size I might pick one up

I agree.... I am on Cingular too so I was really hoping for a good excuse to upgrade. But Motorola royally jacked up the design. Oh well... I'll just have to get a Nano to ease my frustration. ;)

Pod nano - Replacing the iPod mini with the iPod nano: "an entirely new ground-up design, that also has 1000 songs in your pocket." The white device features a color display and can support photos, uses a grey click wheel to navigate, and is 80 percent smaller in volume than the original iPod -- thinner than a number two pencil, said Jobs. The iPod nano weighs 1.5 ounces or 42 grams"

You know... Maybe I was looking at the bad phone design the wrong way. I am a Apple fan with a real iPod and 3 macs already. That ugly silver design just doesn't appeal to me. However, I don't think that was Apple's intent. This gets more people using iTunes, more people wanting a "real" iPod. More people likely to give a Mac Mini a shot. And in turn... More Mac users.

It's a marketing tool... not a traditional Apple product. Every single Cingular user will be tempted to get the iTunes phone. And the process starts there.

Here's a shot of iTunes 5 from my machine...

I hope the next versions of iChat and Safari move to this skin... It is much cleaner.
