new to Mac's

just got a G5 power mac off a friend(2007), airport showing no signal at all, i am on my HP PC at moment which is connected to same sky wireless, as far as i know airport card in, but as the last time i had a Mac was a G3 and i lived in San francisco, so have no clue in how to get this to work or check if card is working or antenna, can anyone hold my hand and walk me through what i need to do

Go to the apple menu at the top 

Go to About this Mac

Select the More info button

That will show all the hardware on that Mac and let you know if an Airport card is installed

Details that come up are - Wireless card type = airport extreme, wireless card firmware version = 405.1 (3.90.34.0.p19) - states that wireless network not available

still having problems getting on line connection

have airport extreme, is it worth buying new one , or just going with ethernet and cable connection to sky internet connection please help
