Airport Extreme problem

I'm using the Airport Extreme base station with a G4 powerbook and a G3 desktop using an Aria Extreme pci card. Both are using Panther OSX. The G3 won't connect to the Internet unless the Powerbook is on. Does anyone know how to configure this so the G3 can be used by itself? p.s. keep the advice simple — I'm not much of a geek. Thanks

What version of OS X are you running on both Macs?

It sounds like you are connecting using internet sharing from the powerbook's system preferences rather than using the signal from the airport. If internet sharing is turned on on the powerbook, turn it off. First look to see if both macs have the same settings. They should be mirrored since they are connecting to the same device.

Check sonnet's site for updates drivers and or compatability issues.
