Ok, so I wasn't sure where this thread ought to be, so I'm trying here.

I am thinking about rearranging my room, and want either my desk or tv infront of the window - the thing is, the radiator is positioned under the window.

The height of the desk means that my macbook and monitor are going to be about 6 inches higher than the top of the radiator.

If I put my tv there , it'll be slap bang infront of the radiator, but not quite as tall.

What I want to know is, would the heat from the radiator affect either my TV/PS3 combo, or my Macbook/Monitor?

Cheers for any help/suggestions.

I would definitely keep anything electronic away from a radiator. The ambient temps are going to be higher than normal, thus when your electronics draw in ambient air for cooling, that air will be warmer than normal. This may cause excess wear over the long run.

Better to be safe than sorry.

I might just switch the radiator off and wear extra clothing in the winter; anything to keep my stuff working well!

I don't think that's necessary - just don't position your computer equipment right on top of the radiator. There has to be another way to arrange the room.
