No, i have found it to be pretty rubbish.

I have used SongGenie, which is fairly hit/miss for me (i have alot of obscurely named songs in my library) but it worked fairly well.

Equinix also do CoverScout, which was actually really good, even for my needs. it finds artwork that is quite obscure or not on itunes.

BeaTunes is another good alternative, I dont think it does Tagging, but it figures out alot of good info such as BPM, and library inconsistencies automatically.

the best automatic tagger i have used is called Pollux. worked brilliantly, but i dont have the money for a license. (10$) - it analyses the waveform of the Audio, so if it is in the database, it can find it, and its usually never wrong.

EDIT: FetchArt is a free option for getting album artwork.

+1 for Coverscout, but if you want tagging sorted automatically as well, then Tune Up is the one I'd recommend. The only issue is the cost vs. long term use, because once you have sorted a big library, you are really done with it, because manually keeping on top of things makes more sense afterwards.
There is also Tagr, which is free, but quite manual, nothing you can't do in iTunes with some patience.

Great thread guys.

Having a bit of trouble tho, tried fetch art, it bogs with even 10 songs and gives error codes left, right and centre!

Can anyone recommend a decent freeware?

Never found a good free one. Tune Up has a free trial, which is useful for doing a few (I think it does 50 covers, 100 retags etc>) so worth doing IMO.
Coverscout is best for art, but a little pricey maybe.

Ta Kev. I used tune up a few years back, so I can't use it again now without paying?!

yeah Fetch Art is a bit buggy: I think the developer only recently got an intel mac, and so is still ironing out the bugs. you could try a repair permissions in disk utility and see if that gives you any success.
