Last I can recall, Dennis had an inner ear problem, and was not as active on these forums as usual.
I sent him a message quite a while ago to say hello and let him know that he is missed here, and hoping that he is on the mend, and have not heard anything back.

Does anyone here have direct contact with him, that they can pass on our well wishes?

I've tried to contact him in PM here, on email, through Facebook, you name it - haven't heard a thing. If anyone knows anything about Dennis, it would be great if you could give us an update.

I've tried to contact him through both PM and email as well. I have yet to receive a response (he's usually quite quick with the responses). I'd also love to know if anyone hears anything.

I definitely think he's still around, at least reading the forums as I've seen his "last visited" date update frequently - he's just not posting. I'm guessing he might not be up to typing as it seems like his recent updates have been limited to "liking" things on FaceBook, but no typed responses.

So, wherever you are Dennis, I hope you are well and will be able to join us here soon. We all miss you.

I just remembered the best way to get him to come back:

The cloud is fantastic. The cloud is the greatest innovation of all time!

That should work. ;)

Haha, remember that you're talking to a student here. ;)

I'll let someone else handle the cash incentive while I handle statements sure to elicit a response.

Yeah I know...but maybe even a couple "Canadian Dollars" would be acceptable. Even a couple old "loonies"!;)

I like how you put it into quotation marks, as if it doesn't really exist. :P

I actually have 20 USD in my wallet that's been sitting there for two years. Perhaps I could send that to him as a bribe. ;)

Van knows me VERY well for sure! :D Windows 8 is announced as a Cloud OS BTW. Should be interesting. Van take note!! :D

My absence was due to my good inner ear getting infected and acting like my damaged one that I have had Meniers disease in since my late teens. It went almost totally deaf. Am on a low sodium diet, water pills, trying to keep the hearing and from it getting as bad as the other ear. Also due to a VERY unhealthy and bad diet and due to the stress caused by many attacks of almost total deafness and vertigos, my Blood Pressure had gone well into the danger zone. Doctor working with me and it's come way down, as has my weight. Trying to keep active here on the forums as that also overall helps keep me positive and calm as does prayer which I have many people doing for me.

Anyway, felt maybe I should update everyone a bit. Sorry for my silence but was really going through a lot. Thanks for all the concern! Makes me glad I am here at Mac Forums.

Good luck in your recovery, good sir. In my on again off again relationship with this forum over the years, I've appreciated a few of the "impactful members" as I call them. You are one of them, and I wish you nothing but the best!

That's a lot to have to contend with Dennis. Just know that your presence here is appreciated, but you do what you have to do in order to maintain your health.. this place isn't going anywhere. Remember though, that try as you might... it's not always possible to control everything, so don't tax yourself with stress on top of it all.

I'm sure you can gather strength from friends and family when it's necessary, just don't forget that those people are there for you. Online friends, included. ;D

Glad to have you back, even if it's not super full time.
