iPod sync fails with new iTunes 10.2

MacBook Pro - Intel
Until I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.2, my iPod Touch synced perfectly with iTunes. Now I get this error message: "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001)." Any suggestions?
