another newb question

in jaguar, i was able to find a program which monitored my mac. it appeared in a strip and it fluctuated a green level up and down. but in panther, i was unable to find it. and i forgot what it was called so i can't even do a search on it. so please if you can, help me. thanks in advance.

they changed the program that you are talking about abit

Application --> Utilities --> Activity Monitor

hey one more question, how do i compress files so that i can put it on a cd. like winzip, i think it's called stuff? but yah, i have this thing called compressor, but don't know if it's the right thing. and what kind of software do you guys use to burn stuff. i hear toast and disc blaze are good, any other programs? but yah, thanks for the heads up trpnmonkey.

there is a program called StuffIt but i think OS X just comes with the version that does expanding not compressing

you need to download the other part from their site
