Went to use my iphone4 today and it's totally silent. Phone will vibrate, but not play ringtone, no clicking sounds when hitting the keys, no sounds when playing games, nothing. The only exception my music and videos will play on the external speaker. Airplane mode is not on, neither is mute. Phone has been power cycled(power/home button held) twice with no affect at all.

Anybody got any ideas??

This has been quite a common problem, quite often with no great solve-all answer.
A solution that has worked for some is to insert headphones a few times until it kicks the iphone back onto the right track. This has worked for people with a certain software glitch, try it, it may work for you, although the success rate for it working has been quite low :(
