hey guys need some help. i was trying to wirelessly print some thing off my macbook pro when my laptop crashed.
As i have done in the past i tried holding down the power button and of corse this turned off the computer.
When i want to turn it on again, all that is happening is the apple logo is on the screen with the loading bar and the loading circle.
I have tried to find ways to force start os x but i cannot find anything that works. any help please?

Welcome to Mac-Forums

Force-shutting down your computer is never the best idea but hey ** live and learn.
Try starting your MBP with the OSX install disk inserted (hold "alt" just after you hear the startup chime) select the disk, when the welcome screen shows click continue, then at the top of the screen in the menu bar you will see utilities, click this then click Disk Utility in the drop-down menu.
In the box that appears, click on your hard drive, then click repair disk, after this has happened click repair permissions.
Once this has all completed restart your MBP using the apple logo at the top right.
Again hold "alt" after the chime this time select your HD/ OSX installation.
Hope this helps
