Seems plausible. I have been hoping for a while that apple would update their speakers. I wish my iPod was louder. Not only that, maybe get a clearer sound? I have played music on my laptop and then on my iPod and there is a huge sound quality difference. Maybe they can help close the gap?

Look at the size and quantity of speakers on your laptop and then compare that to your iPod. There's always going to be a gap.
