I have a relatively new MacBook Pro (bought it in May) and am very happy with it. It's starting to have some issues, though, and I'd like to get it serviced if that's possible, and would like to know what you guys recommend for keeping my comp healthy. For some reason it froze about an hour ago with about 4 Safari windows, Mail, and Pages open... This hasn't happened before. I'm 99.9% sure viruses/nasty websites have nothing to do with this, and figure it's basic wear and tear.
So, 2 questions:
1) Is there something I can run program-wise every so often to sort out/clean up my computer's harddrive and other vitals?
2) Can the Apple store do much servicing-wise? Is it worth paying/costly to get it "tuned up" and cleaned out (I'm sure some dust has gotten inside, etc). ?
