File Rename !!

Hi Guys ,,

I have noticed that after renaming some audio files names before transferring to itunes the file name stays the same !!
What is the right way to rename a file ?

iTunes is reading an embedded "tag" which is part of the file itself and can differ from the "filename."

The proper way to edit tags in iTunes is to select the song or songs you want to edit and choose command-i or "Get Info" from the File menu.

Once a song is in the iTunes Library, its *filename* should NOT be changed. Of course you can change the filename *before* you put it in iTunes.
