My wife's Macbook Pro has really spotty performance while browsing the internet. I don't understand where the bottleneck is...here are the computer specs...

4 GB RAM
500 GB Seagate Momentus XT HDD/SSD
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB VRAM
I know Apple released a patch for 13" Macbook laptops but it doesn't apply to the 13" "Pro" line. My 17" Macbook Pro 2,1 feels faster online than the 13" and it has inferior stats...any clues or ideas? Anyone else have this problem?
