iomega minimax

hi newbie here

i have a issue with a old minimax its a 320gig version

i havnt used it for about 2-3 years so ive fired it up and plugged it into my imac its a intel version running osx

how do i get to look for it?? i cant find any drivers for it so not sure i need them,i have no icon pop up on my desktop to say its found it ??

power light is on and i can hear the fan etc plus im connected via a firewire cable

any help would be very greatful indeed
