Hi All!

Can anyone tell me why can't my iPad connect via bluetooth with my MBP??

it says that "this device does not have the necessary services" when I try to connect the two and browse files or share files...what does "necessary services" mean? I would've thought that apple/apple bluetooth should be an easy connection...

It means that functionality is not provided via bluetooth. You will have to use the cable that came with the iPad and physically connect it.

As far as I can tell the ipad will not connect with anything via bluetooth it's just a drain on the battery.

I think it will connect to Bluetooth keyboards as well but it will not do file sharing that way.

Blue tooth on the iPad works flawlessly

Mine is connected to headphones, a keyboard, and the camera on my iPhone 4. What else were you needing? What on earth would you connect it with in your car - your phone? The iPad is neither a phone nor a camera.

My 650 watt, 14 speaker audio system. Syncs and the iPod player works brilliantly with it.
