Seems I'm first, here's a wintery one of a late blooming rose that caught the frost ...

Jbob: NICE. If it wasn't for the clock I'd swear that was downtown Chicago! :)

Thank you

I've never been to Chicago. I was meant to visit last year when we did a road trip from NY to Vegas and back again ... but we spent to much time in Vegas and had to rush back for our flight home haha

Some nice shots, well done. Not sure mine really compares, but I was happy with it nonetheless. I'm not sure why it won't show up in the message but here's the link:

I was on a tractor ride and I kept seeing these purple flowers off to the side of the trail. I tried to get a picture but they were all out of focus. I was about to delete this one when I noticed the right side. I think it's pretty awesome :D

Very pretty, know it well, and we're coming that way (Winster near Matlock actually) for a week over New Year.
If the weather lets us :)

Cheers :)

That picture is great! Would be really awesome if the moon was in there. None-the-less cool pic!

I haven't shot in a couple of months and really missed it. Torn between two shots from yesterday, same location but a variation on the theme I went with this one:

http://dbphotographics.smugmug.com/Places/New-York/Lonesome-Pier/1140583803_Xe3JQ-L.jpg

Did a bit of tweaking in LR, and decided not to go with a tint which depicted how cold it was. The other photo did, and has a bluish hue as opposed to this bleak orange-ish tint. I just really like the feel of this one contextually speaking. The other one has a lone person standing on the pier and is a bit wider.

Thank you Buzzard. Although it looks to me like the image has been fairly compressed after having posted it here.

Okay, one day late, but I figured since I took the photo in December, I'd post it here before the thread went away:

I took this via my new iPod touch. It has been edited using iPhoto '11.
