I've got an audio book around five hours long and it's just one track, very annoying. I want to break it into parts anyone know of some software preferably free that can do this? obviously running on a mac?

Thanks

If you already have Toast, then CD Spin Doctor will do this and is part of that suite.

If not, I don't know of anything free that will do the job. I use Amadeus Pro ($40) for this and many other tasks, best "consumer-level" audio editor I've run across.

You could try Audacity (free) and see if that will do it. I find it too fugly to use so I don't know for sure, but my guess would be yes it can.
