Resolving hosts on a OSX Workgroup server

Hi!

Here at work we have an OSX server which is 'workgroup' as opposed to 'domain' based. I have a linux box on the workgroup which is used as a web development server and want to be able to specify 'hosts' for this box on the OSX server rather than on each individual Mac within the workgroup.

On an individual mac I would add a host in NetInfo Manager which specifies the name for the testing domain (mytestsite.dev for example), the IP address (192.168.254.123) and the 'serves' value (../network).

But... is it possible to perform a similar operation on the server and have the server broadcast this information to the client machines so that I don't have to continually update the hosts file on each client...?

Any ideas?
