iphone/itunes issue

my iphone isnt recognized by my itunes on my macbook pro

i've looked everywhere && basically its telling me to reinstall intunes

that works but it only works once then i have the same problem again

the phone is recognized in iphoto but not in itunes

anyone know why this is happening?

btw im running the most current version of OS but i did install the OS cd that came with the macbook pro

I have 2 Iphone 3G's Both 16GB one iOS3.1 and the other iOS4.1 and they will see my itunes on my work PC running XP SP3 but the wont see the iTunes on both my MacBook Pro running 10.6 or my G5 imac 10.4.11. iPhoto 6 or 09 will not see either phone.

This problem has been happening since Aug 2009 and i am sick to death of it.

i have done every tip trick and whatever other voodoo is listed on apples support site as well as just about 50 other forum responses, restart phone - mac and uninstall - reinstall.
